I offer counseling for adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents, as well as pastoral counseling for those navigating spiritual concerns, life transitions, or personal crises. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, helping clients process painful experiences, restore a sense of safety, and move toward emotional and spiritual wholeness. I also work extensively with individuals facing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, spiritual struggles, and major life transitions, providing compassionate support and practical tools for healing and growth.

In addition, I specialize in marital and relational counseling, including pre-marital and post-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, conflict resolution, and healing from relational wounds. I work with couples navigating communication breakdowns, trust issues, emotional disconnection, blended-family dynamics, and the lasting effects of trauma on relationships. For families experiencing separation or divorce, I offer guidance and support in co-parenting, helping parents establish healthy communication, boundaries, and stability for their children.

I also provide counseling for children and adolescents, addressing the unique challenges they face in today’s world. These may include emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, peer and school-related stress, identity development, family changes, grief, and trauma-related concerns. My work with adolescents is developmentally appropriate, relationally focused, and grounded in both clinical wisdom and faith-based understanding.

Accessibility & Sliding Scale Support

At Joy Restored Christian Counseling, LLC, I believe emotional and spiritual care should be accessible to everyone. I understand that seeking counseling can feel overwhelming, and financial concerns should never stand in the way of healing. While I do not bill insurance at this time, I offer a sliding-scale fee structure and work collaboratively with clients to make counseling services more attainable during seasons of financial hardship.

I also invite those who feel led to support counseling sessions for individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford care. Individual Counseling:
Personalized one-on-one sessions that offer support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other personal struggles. Our approach is inspired by Philippians 4:6-7, where I encourage clients to cast their anxieties on God through prayer and faith. These sessions provide a space for healing deep emotional wounds with biblical principles guiding each step.

Trauma Counseling:
For those dealing with physical, sexual, or emotional trauma, my faith-based trauma counseling offers a path toward healing and restoration. With Christ as the foundation, I help individuals reclaim their peace and move forward from the pain of their past.

Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention:
I offer immediate emotional and spiritual support for those in crisis, providing hope and healing in times of need. Guided by Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted,” my crisis intervention services help individuals through difficult times with compassion, strength, and faith.

Grief & Loss Counseling:
For those navigating the painful journey of loss, we offer compassionate grief counseling rooted in Revelation 21:4, which promises that “God will wipe away every tear.” These sessions provide a space to process grief, honor the loss, and move forward with hope in God’s promises.

Pre-Marital & Post-Marital Counseling:
Preparing couples for marriage or helping them navigate challenges post-marriage, including divorce care and co-parenting, is a key focus at Joy Restored. Inspired by Ephesians 4:2-3, my counseling sessions teach humility, patience, and love, providing couples with the tools they need for a Christ-centered marriage or healing post-divorce.

Family Counseling:
In family therapy, we help strengthen relationships and foster healthy family dynamics. I draw inspiration from Colossians 3:13, teaching families to “bear with each other and forgive one another” as they navigate relational challenges with love, grace, and patience.

Gerontology Counseling:
My counseling for older adults helps individuals and families navigate the emotional and spiritual challenges that come with aging, offering comfort and support from a faith-based perspective.

Pastoral Care:
For ministry leaders and pastors, I provide a safe and confidential space to address their spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being. Based on Matthew 11:28, I invite pastoral leaders to lay their burdens down and find rest in Christ, renewing their strength for continued service.

Child & Adolescent Counseling (Ages 8-17):
Young minds often need support in understanding and processing their emotions. Through virtual sessions, we provide a safe space where children and teens can express themselves freely. Guided by the principles of Matthew 19:14, my counseling helps young people grow emotionally and spiritually in a nurturing, faith-filled environment—all from the comfort of their home.

Addiction Recovery Support:
Addiction can be a powerful stronghold, but through faith and biblical guidance, healing is possible. As stated in 1 Corinthians 10:13, “God is faithful and will provide a way out,” and I walk alongside clients in their journey to freedom from addiction, offering both spiritual support and practical steps toward recovery.
